Over the past several years, air yards have become a metric used more and more in the fantasy football industry. First popularized by Josh Hermsmeyer, air yards offer a great signal of a receiver’s usage and add context to the targets that a player is getting.
This tool allows you to identify which players have commanded both a high percentage of his team’s targets as well as a high percentage of his team’s air yards. It also displays a player’s Receiver Air Converstion Ratio (RACR), which is an efficiency metric that rolls up catch rate and yards after the catch into one number (calculated as receiving yards divided by air yards) – a RACR above 1.0 is considered exceptional. This is available for wide receivers and tight ends (or both!) and you can use the team filter to highlight the names of players on a specific team.
